Medals for Everyday Heroes
Inger Margrethe Larsen, from Copenhagen, Denmark, presents her exhibition "Medals for Everyday Heroes".
Her philosophy is that regardless of age, gender, race, or nationality, everyone ought to have a medal, since we all possess/have done something to be proud of.
The exhibition presents photogenic portraits of everyday heroes wearing one of Inger's designed medals along with their personal statements.
In addition, a selection of her medal art will be on display at the Holland Area Arts Council's Lievense Gallery.

Travel grant from the Danish Arts Foundation
Inger Margrethe Larsen received a travel grant from the Danish Arts Foundation in 2019 to support her artproject Medals for everyday heroes and to further support her in research, networking and her aim to look for future collaborations.
The travel will take her to the United States in May / June 2019.

Nordkraftudstillingen 2016 | |
Inger Margrethe Larsen deltager i NORDKRAFTUDSTILLINGEN 2016 med sit udvalgte værk ”Medalje for Hus og hjem”, som går under betegnelsen Medalje Kunst, der tidligere blev udviklet under kunstnerophold på Statens Værksteder for Kunst. Nordkraftudstillingen er en statsanerkendt censureret udstilling som afholdes i Kunsthal NORD i Aalborg hvert andet år, hvor det kunstfaglige niveau sikres af et censorpanel. I år har 227 kunstnere fra hele Europa søgt med over 1000 værker. Heraf er 40 kunstnere blevet antaget med 82 værker i alt på Nordkraftudstillingen 2016. Der er fernisering på Nordkraftudstillingen, NK16 i Kunsthal NORD lørdag den 6. august 2016 kl. 13-15. Alle er velkommen! Inger Margrethe Larsen deltager i gruppeudstillingen Ring & Æske III, hvor 19 guldsmede, smykkekunstnere og andre faggrupper alle har fået opgaven: Lav et smykke med en æske. Udstillingen har som sit sigte at have æsken med i centrum og udforske de mange spændende materialevalg og former, der gemmer sig i selve æsken, og hvordan den kan spille sammen med sit indhold.
